In 1953, his merchandize business expanded and he moved to the capital "Amman" where he opened a shop named "Shahrouri Bros". In 1966, his merchandize business witnessed considerable expansion to the extent of becoming independent of his partners. through purchasing their shares. Then, he founded a Company called " Shahrouri Commercial Co."

He has been importing different goods from China, Japan, Taiwan, Germany and Austria. He expanded the field of his imports from Poland, the United States, and Hungary when he launched his independent company " Shahrouri Commercial Co."
He has been an agent for numerous brands in the fields of garments and children toys.

In 1983, the founding father died (May Allah Bless His Soul). Then his sons founded a company in 1984 named "Daoud Shahrouri Sons Commercial Co." which took over the works of their late father's company.
In 1987, the mother company founded another subsidiary company called "Sundries World Trading Co." whose activity is limited to trade agencies and promotion after conducting thorough studies, and those agencies will be introduced to the Jordanian market, in particular, and the Middle Eastern market, in general.
